Sponsorship and Support
Thank you for your interest in helping make Team UCAN2’s dream a reality. We sincerely appreciate all support, whether it’s in the form of private donations or corporate sponsorship. As a registered charity, a tax-deductible receipt is issued for all contributions.
Sponsorship Benefits
Team UCAN2
guarantees public exposure for our valued sponsors. We foresee a three year, performance-based, sponsorship program that will ensure that we meet or exceed our sponsor’s expectations.
From 1990 to 2004 there have been twenty-four published articles and two television documentaries following David and John’s sailing ventures and successes. Given our established relationship with the media, combined with our drive to ensure as much exposure as possible, we envision that our success on and off-the-water will attract public exposure that will benefit our valued sponsors.
Our success in attracting positive media exposure for our sponsors is essential if we are to continue to qualify for funding for subsequent years. You don’t pay unless we perform according to your expectations.

Sponsorship Target Markets and Exposure
Team UCAN2 can provide interested corporations with substantial media exposure in the Greater Victoria area. Examples of our past performance and media coverage follow this section. This exposure is not only seen and read by the public at large but, in particular, to those involved in sailing and boating activities.
Our team has strong ties in the sailing and boating print media in Western Canada, and in the Pacific Northwest through Pacific Yachting, The Boat Journal and 48 Degrees North boating magazines. The team will also generate national exposure by representing Canada’s national sailing authority, the Canadian Yachting Association. Boaters are an excellent target market.
Team UCAN2 is comprised of high achieving sailors who also happen to have disabilities. In addition to this being an inspirational human interest story, medical related businesses could benefit from association with our team. Furthermore, businesses that are interested in promoting a positive community image will benefit from sponsoring our team.
Our team’s commitment to give our valued sponsors as much public exposure can be summed up in two words: over deliver. Corporations wanting to get exposure in this market are encouraged to consider being a sponsor.
